As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, The Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble produces original works of choreography while preserving the tradition of improvisation in American rhythm tap, bringing innovative percussive dance to diverse audiences. Founded in 2011, the Philadelphia-based ensemble centers the work of women in tap through performance, education, and community outreach.

This holiday season, join The Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble for The Tapcracker on Saturday, December 13 & Sunday, December 14 at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre! Online box office opens in September.
Hailed as a “real delight” (ThINKing Dance), this all-tap version of the holiday favorite has “taken its rightful place among the Philadelphia holiday traditions on the Avenue of the Arts” (Broad Street Review). With a cast of over 40 dancers from PA, NJ, and DE, The Tapcracker transports audiences to Paris, where an infestation of rats has thrown the city into chaos: toy soldiers guard the Eiffel Tower, mice wreak havoc in the Metro, and Duke Ellington’s swinging rendition of the beloved Tchaikovsky score will leave you dancing in your seat. |

Join The Lady Hoofers Youth Ensemble on Saturday, November 8 at a celebration of the amazing multicultural youth dance and movement expressions found in Olney and the city of Philadelphia. The Olney Youth Arts Festival aims to promote cross-cultural awareness and demonstrate the power of positive youth creativity.
