Join the Lady Hoofers Tap Ensemble, Philadelphia's premier all-female tap company, for a FREE performance at the FDR Park Boathouse in honor of National Tap Dance Day! Dancers will perform original choreography and improvised works. Audience members will be invited to celebrate Bill "Bojangles" Robinson with games, stories and a chance to learn a historic tap routine, the Shim Sham Shimmy. This event is presented by the City’sOffice of Arts, Culture and the Creative Economy as part of Performances in Public Spaces, a summer series of FREE cultural performances in parks and plazas across Philadelphia neighborhoods.
