After a year hiatus, The Lady Hoofers returned to Franklin Square for the Electrical Spectacle Sounds of the Seasons! We performed two sets in between the light shows, sharing a preview of our mice and soldiers from The Tapcracker plus improvisation to holiday tunes and the Shim Sham Shimmy. This was a debut performance for many of our Youth Ensemble dancers!
It was a perfect, unseasonably warm November evening for dancing in Franklin Square! The Electrical Spectacle light show, funded by a grant from the William Penn Foundation and set to the music of Philly Pops! is free and runs every half hour from mid-November through Christmas. We had a great time igniting the lights and performing selections from our holiday concert for the crowd.
Our Franklin Square debut was also the debut performance for our four new apprentice dancers and for our 2014 youth company! Welcome ladies!
