We say it every year, but it continues to be true... we hosted our largest audition series to date with over 40 dancers from the tri-state area auditioning for our First Company and Youth Ensemble!
As we prepare for the premiere of The Tapcracker this season, our full-length all-tap version of The Nutcracker, casting was more challenging than ever. Thanks to all the talented dancers who came out to share their talents with us, and congratulations to our new dancers!

2017 Youth Ensemble Dancers
Auditions for our fifth season were held on September 13th with additional makeup auditions on September 20th. This was our largest turn out to date, and we were blown away by the talent at both auditions with dancers coming from as far away as New York City.
It was a difficult decision, but in the end, we accepted two new first company dancers and five new apprentices, nearly doubling the size of our returning ensemble! This is shaping up to be our most exciting season yet!
This June brought our largest youth ensemble audition to date with talented young dancers traveling from as far as two hours away and three different states to show us their skills. The girls dazzled us with their shuffles, their smiles, and their shiggy bops!
We are pleased to welcome six returning youth ensemble dancers (all of our 2014 girls!) and six new members for our 2015 season. These twelve young women will train with us this fall and will perform in our annual Holiday Concert scheduled for December 4th & 5th at Performance Garage in Philadelphia.
On Sunday, September 14 we held our annual auditions and were pleased to accept four new dancers. Deedee Mann joins us as a member of the first company, and Emily Marshall, Lindsey McCormick, and Becca Mullin join us as apprentices. They began rehearsing with us this week and are already beginning to learn choreography to perform with us in our holiday concert this December. Learn more about them on the Dancers page of our website. Welcome ladies!
Earlier this summer, we held auditions for our 2014 Youth Company and accepted nine young ladies to work with us this fall. We're thrilled to have three returning and six new members! Dancers have begun learning choreography and perform in our annual holiday show.
Congratulations and welcome to our 2014 Youth Company!
Auditions for our First Company were held at the Institute of Dance Artistry in Fort Washington, PA. Dancers Johanna Lockwood and Gina Iannelli joined The Lady Hoofers as Apprentice Dancers and former Apprentice Meg Sarachan was promoted to our First Company.
Over twenty students from seven studios and three states registered for our inaugural Youth Company Auditions. A dozen were selected to perform with The Lady Hoofers at our holiday show on December 6th and 7th at Christ Church Neighborhood House.
